Recently I realised I haven't been looking into any new stories, be it a game or a book or a movie. Normally, I wallow in a single media product for a year, if not more, while consuming something smaller on the side. I feel like I am currently craving new stories.

Right now, or rather, I am still very much into Dishonored game series and I can't see myself stepping away from it any time soon. And I don't want to, it's my favourite thing to think and write about :D But I also want something new.

My gaming backlog is massive, I hope to diminish it a little over the Christmas and New Year holidays, but I also don't feel like I'm ready to fall head first into a brand new fandom. Building up myself in it is immensely hard and time consuming, and it seems I just can't enjoy media without participating in the fandom. We'll see how it goes.

For now I feel I want to write some stuff for Detroit Become Human. Perhaps, not plotty things, but little 1k stories, as I often like to.

I find myself falling into the same pattern of: I want to read/play/watch this thing but I also need someone to talk about it with. I think I've gone through the same few fandoms over the past two years and I just go in a cycle. Part of that may have been because I was in grad school, but also I don't just enjoy things passively. It can be frustrating.

I look forward to any Detroit: Become Human things you write though! I enjoyed it more than I thought I would but I haven't seen many fanworks for it.

It's definitely easier to be a fan of some media when you can discuss it - it helps fueling the obsession for sure! It's also super frustrating when you are in a small quiet fandom :D

Thank you! :) I really like this game, I haven't played myself because I don't have PS, but I enjoy watching it on YouTube and that's enough for me.

I ended up playing it over a weekend when I was sick after renting it. But it lends itself to let's play on youtube well, since it relies on story more than mechanics. Good luck with your writing!
