 With tumblr purge and silence happening tomorrow, I spent some time saving all my stories just in case. Luckily, I keep most stuff saved already, but there were asks and prompt fills that I didn't publish anywhere else or didn't save. So yay to that!

Anyone else preparing for the purge? It feels so final, but I see a lot of blogs saying goodbye and it makes me sad. Tumblr has always been my favourite social media platform and to see it go like this is saddening. I found amazing people there, inspiration and personal growth as well as skill improvement. I had a lot of fun. And I mean, I am staying till the end. I still think it might not get anywhere and tumblr will simply go on as always. But it also might be a real end to an important fandom place, and I want to recognize it and be ready for it.

yeh i got all my sideblogs down already - my main blog still hasn't even shown up as ready to download but I didn't post anything unique on it - I'd multi-post new things because I've been through this before.

Oh man, I hope you keep all the stuff you want. My sideblog where I posted most of my content got stuck on 159mb download and wouldn't budge, so I canceled it. I saw people mention their downloads were 20+ gb, so I discarded the idea entirely :D
I really want to go through my Dishonored tag and save all the arts and gifs though!

I backed up what I could on here. Said a lot of goodbyes. Some are moving to pay sites so I won't be following them. I backed my fanart onto photobucket. Reacclimatizing to the LJ format.

It's weird to be using this format, but I suppose we'll all find a place we can call home again. Just feels sad!

It does feel sad. I had really liked the format of Tumblr. Plus now I have to remember html.

I'm sticking around! Just...preparing to migrate. I mean, the only person on the internet I'm following is you and that's because I'm your boyfriend, so like. Yeah. Everything else, I'm okay with it being transitory.
